This little modern suite by Ennio Salvere is an easy but most pleasant concert piece for youth band. The three parts "Give me some Funk," "Give me some Blues" and "Give me some Soul" allow young musicians, notwithstanding a limited strength, to perform a concert piece with contemporary popular rhythms. The slow blues is a nice contrast to the funky introduction, whereas the final movement introduced by a slow lyrical trumpet solo will set fire to the audience and invite them to clap hands as well.
