The flute trio is inspired by the singing of the tropical birds on the island of Curacao in the Caribbean, namely the Chuchubi, whose song is most melodious and varied. All fast runs in the piece are idiomatic for flute. The trio is dedicated to my flute students of the band program at the International School Curacao. The cover art is by one of my former students, Kyle A. Veth.

Die Flöte Trio wird durch den Gesang der tropischen Vögel auf der Insel Curacao in der Karibik, nämlich die CHUCHUBI, dessen Song ist sehr melodiös und abwechslungsreich inspiriert. Alle schnelle Läufe in dem Stück sind idiomatisch für Flöte. Das Trio ist auf meine Flöte Schüler der Band-Programm an der International School Curacao gewidmet.
