A smooth, rich sounding legato is a characteristic closely associated with the horn. From the earliest stages of playing, regular practice in the form of flexibility exercises will develop a true legato by developing good embouchure control and breathing. This carefully graded collection of flexibility exercises has been designed to develop range, embouchure control and flexible legato playing on both the F and Bb sides of the instrument.
