Its origin compositionally is from the chord progression that can be found in the low brass in the faster sections. The piece fluctuates between slower, more meditative sections, faster, melodic sections, and an intense, aggressive bridge. It ultimately is a compositional attempt to recreate the reflection, anguish, and ultimate resilience that these people faced.
