Times were tough but so were they. This piece is split into sections depicting the people and the events that occurred at that time. Full of character and interesting rhythms, this unique overture would work equally well for concert or contest use. This is a great piece to expose developing players to lots of syncopation and some "extra flat notes" not commonly used for music at this level.
