Kazimierz Serocki. 1922 -1981. lived in Warsaw. He completed his musical studies in Lodz and Paris. After this he was first active as a pianist, before devoting himself wholly to composition. With the exception of opera, his output comprises all fields of vocal and instrumental music, including film music. Several of his works, among them the Sinfonietta for double string orchestra and his "Musica concertante", a piece composed in serial manner, have also become known in Western Europe in recent years.
