Sebastian Bodinus was born in the village of Bittstaedt in Saxe-Gotha. Germany. around 1700. Details of his life are not plentiful, but it is known that in 1718 he entered the service of the Margrave Carl III of Baden- Durlach at the court in Karlsruhe. He did work elsewhere, but always returned to his home, where he served as Concertmaster for two periods. Having been gone from Karlsruhe since 1752, he returned in a disoriented state in 1758, and was committee to an insane asylum in Pforzheim, where he died on March 19th, 1759. Deutschland. um 1700. Details aus seinem Leben sind nicht groß, aber es ist bekannt, dass im Jahre 1718 trat er in den Dienst des Markgrafen Carl III von Baden-Durlach bei dem Gericht in Karlsruhe. Er hat anderswo zu arbeiten, aber immer in seine Heimat zurückkehrte, wo er als Konzertmeister für zwei Perioden. Nachdem wurden aus Karlsruhe seit 1752 gegangen ist, in einem orientierungslosen Zustand in eine Irrenanstalt in Pforzheim, wo er am 19. März 1759 starb, kehrte er im Jahre 1758 und war Ausschuss.
