A spiritual mood prevails. Cadences of ever increasing intensity are heard only to recede into moments of hushed anticipation. Through ever increasing melodic tension the work moves inexorably toward its final climax. A gentle mystical coda unfolds and the Dies Irae reappears. The piece ends solemnly with a long diminuendo leading to silence.

Eine spirituelle Stimmung herrscht. Kadenzen immer mehr Intensität zu hören sind nur noch in Momenten der gedämpften Erwartung zurücktreten. Durch immer melodische Spannung Erhöhung bewegt sich unaufhaltsam auf die Arbeit seiner letzten Höhepunkt. Eine sanfte mystische Coda entfaltet und die Dies Irae erscheint wieder. Das Stück endet feierlich mit einem langen Diminuendo zum Schweigen führt.
