Solo trombone WH31606. Programme Note. Bent Sørensen BIRDS AND BELLS, Trombone Concerto. BIRDS AND BELLS was composed in 1995 for the Swedish trombonist Christian Lindberg. As the title suggests it is not a 'roaring' trombone concerto but rather a 'pianissimo concerto' filled with the contents of the title. It must be emphasized that 'bells' here has nothing to do with death or destruction which connoisseurs of my music might be tempted to think. The work is in three movements which are played without a break. The second movement ends with a kind of 'pseudo-nightingale cadenza', and I feel the third to be a slow lullaby. BIRDS AND BELLS was premiered on 30.4.1996 with Christian Lindberg and the Aarhus Sinfonietta conducted by Søren K. Hansen. Bent Sørensen.

Solo trombone WH31606. Hinweis Programm. Bent Sørensen VÖGEL UND GLOCKEN, Posaunenkonzert. VÖGEL UND GLOCKEN wurde im Jahr 1995 für den schwedischen Posaunisten Christian Lindberg zusammen. Wie der Titel schon sagt es ist nicht eine "rauschenden" Posaunenkonzert, sondern ein "pianissimo Konzert" mit dem Inhalt des Titel gefüllt. Es muss betont werden, dass 'Glocken' hat hier nichts mit dem Tod oder Vernichtung, die Kenner der meine Musik könnte versucht sein zu denken, zu tun. Die Arbeit ist in drei Sätzen, die ohne Pause gespielt werden. Der zweite Satz endet mit einer Art "Pseudo-Nachtigall Kadenz ', und ich glaube, die dritte auf eine langsame Schlaflied sein. VÖGEL UND GLOCKEN wurde am 30.4.1996 mit Christian Lindberg und dem Aarhus Sinfonietta von Søren K. Hansen uraufgeführt. Bent Sørensen.
