Mozart's brilliant Duos (K. 423 in G Major & K. 424 in B-flat Major), originally for violin and viola, are now available in this versatile transcription for clarinet and bass clarinet or bass clarinet duet. Each Duo is a large, three-movement work providing excellent musical and technical challenges for the bass clarinetist. While the transcription works well for clarinet/bass clarinet duet, the rich sound of two bass clarinets, reminiscent of basset horns, is especially suitable for this music.
