Composed by Geoffrey Cottrell. Jazz. Score and parts. 4 pages. Geoffrey Cottrell #9711. Published by Geoffrey Cottrell (A0.866299).

'Good Evans' is a up-tempo instrumental modern jazz tune I wrote as a tribute to the great jazz pianist Bill Evans. The sheet music is in the form of a basic piano score (with chord symbols) for the head of the tune and I have also included standard leadsheets for transposing Bb and Eb instruments. The AABA form is 32 measures long with a commercial bridge for which I have written out a typical solo, although this will probably be improvised. The theme works well for gigs and the catchy tune could even be used as a TV / film theme.
