The traditional old English Christmas carol, "Deck The Halls" is set for mixed brass quartet. This very contrapuntal and particularly entertaining quartet is for two trumpets, one trombone and one tuba. Ossia notes are generously offered throughout the piece to make it accessible to a wider range of player abilities. The mp3 playback file gives a reasonably good performance. With some preparation, this becomes a very entertaining and exciting audience pleaser to showcase brass players.
