It is a pleasing piece to march to and has a mildly Caledonian feel to reflect the Scottish roots of Major General Charles Edward Gordon after whom the school is named. The march is well suited to either parade ground or marching display use but also has sufficient musical qualities to make a good concert piece. Individual instrumental parts can be supplied on request as can a piano reduction score.
